Often, as speakers, we get asked to host an event or facilitate a panel. This can be a great way to increase the impact or influence you have on the audience. It can also be an absolute nightmare if you don't do it right.

So how do you do it well in a way that positively impacts your brand, the event and the audience experience?

We are delighted to have one of Australia's most decorated event hosts joining us face to face to share the secrets of How To Master the Art of Panel Facilitator and Event Host.

Warwick Merry CSP, CVP has been hosting events since he was High School Captain back in 1985. From the likes of annual conferences, TEDxMelbourne to the opening of an envelope, he loves to stand front and centre and help delegates get more out of their event.

Join us on July 18th as he shares with us two sessions on the hosting and speaking business. This session is being bespoke crafted for us. This is not a "speaker" session. This is a workshop by a speaker - for speakers. So anything can and will happen!

During the first session he will cover:

  • The three immutable rules of hosting
  • Why the skills that make you a great speaker are the skills that will make you a poor host
  • How you can use what is happening in the room to make the event more fun
  • How to manage speakers going over time so they NEVER DO!
  • How to facilitate a panel and make the panelists feel like a rock star
  • How to bring your event to life all while trying to be forgettable
  • How to decide if hosting is for you (and why it can damage your business if it's not)
  • What you need to do if you want hosting to be part of your business

The second session will be more about what it takes to run a successful speaking business. It will be more discussion style than presentation and will cover:

  • The business side of a speaking business
  • How important is strategy
  • Where do you get clients from
  • How much should you charge
  • How do you increase your price so your clients love you for it
  • How do you manage the risks of a speaking business
  • What does it mean to be a "Successful Speaker"
  • How to manage Imposter Syndrome, FOMO and a massive ego
  • Plus anything else you want to talk about

This entire session will have you revisiting your business, reconsidering your approach, and reinvigorating your spirit all while having a few laughs, a few "Aha moments" and a load of fun.

Can you afford NOT to be there?

Register today to experience one of Australia's best simply doing what he does.
