“What unconventional wisdom has supported your success, despite advice to the contrary?”

Of course, we all know that there is no one-size fits all when it comes to speaking success but there are some basic business tenets we hold as useful, conventional wisdom, in this industry:

  • An excellent speech
  • Good marketing materials
  • A solid sales process
  • Delivery that connects
  • A professional website
  • A social media presence

But what if you don’t have these things or follow the conventional wisdom? What if it’s just not right for you? What then?

Back by popular demand, in this session we are going to turn the typical masterclass into an anti-masterclass. What are all the things people are doing that are working… but are not supposed to?

How have you created success by breaking the rules?

Together, let’s validate the different paths people are taking toward success, learn other ways of getting ahead if what we’re doing doesn’t feel right, and challenge the conventional wisdom we hold as an industry.

In this session

This session will continue our theme of creating a mastermind community through a peer learning environment (online).

We’ll hear a little from each of our speaking guests, with plenty of time to also learn from each other.

So, bring your rebel secrets, bring your curious questions, bring your appetite to learn and grow, and get ready to bust some myths and break some rules!

Meet our rebel speakers

MAZ FARRELLY

Maz has been to more showbiz parties than the Clooneys in Oscar Season and down more red carpets than a Dyson vacuum.

Her contacts read like the toilet queue at the Oscars and her loo is packed full of international awards - BAFTAS, Logies, Astras, Royal Television Society Awards, National Comedy Awards, a Bronze Rose De Montreux, the works.

Maz has been the big boss of the biggest TV shows in the world, with the biggest teams, budgets, audiences and superstars - five series of Big Brother, The X Factor, The Farmer Wants A Wife, The Celebrity Apprentice, Dancing with the Stars and she is the co-creator of the long standing ABC current affairs show, Q&A.

Her content has been watched more than eight BILLION times, and she once produced an event that created so much social traffic, she broke Twitter.

Maz is on a mission to put the business world through a ‘Boring Audit’, helping inspired individuals and clever corporations think differently, be fascinating and tell their story with the impact of a large cement fist in a soft cashmere glove.
