***NOTE: this event is now in-person ONLY ***
After the turmoil of the last two years, trust in government and the media in Australia has never been lower. Your clients and audiences are craving someone to believe, to help them make sense of a very uncertain world.
As a speaker, you’re no stranger to stepping into the spotlight – whether on stage or online. Now, more than ever, you need to demonstrate your credibility so you’re not dismissed as just another confusing voice.
This session will give you insights and tools that you can immediately apply in your own speaking practice. You’ll take away:
- A framework for demonstrating credibility to your audience, whether you’re primarily an entertainer or a subject matter expert
- Tales from the trenches: Lessons from senior leaders speaking in the spotlight
- Practical tips for building connection and trust with audiences, in the room or through a camera
About Dr Neryl East CSP
Dr Neryl East is a credibility expert who shows leaders how to be heard, stand out and command influence. She’s worked with some of Australia’s most senior leaders during what she calls “spotlight situations” - when the pressure is on, the stakes are high and the outcome really matters.
As an award-winning TV and radio journalist, Neryl interviewed everyone from Prime Ministers and celebrities to people in crisis, and her role as an Olympic announcer saw her speaking to crowds of 20,000.
She has also spent many years managing high-profile issues in the public and
private sectors, and training executives and entrepreneurs on leading in the
media spotlight.
Neryl has a PhD in Journalism and is the author of five books including an Amazon best-seller on media and reputation.
She is the National President of PSA and served as NSW Chapter President in 2018.
