Pros and cons of podcasting, opportunities it attracts, and how to start your own podcast.

Podcast host, Leanne Hughes, interviewed by podcast host, Mel Kettle.

Increasingly Australians are listening to podcasts. Podcasting provides opportunities to share our expertise to a global audience.

But is it worth the effort?

In our next Qld Chapter HUG, Leanne Hughes, host of podcast ‘First Time Facilitator’ will be interviewed by Mel Kettle, host of podcast ‘This Connected Life’.

They will explore the pros and cons of podcasting, the impact on their careers and the opportunities podcasting provides.

They will also talk about the steps involved in starting your own podcast, how to repurpose content, and share some hacks to make it easier.

About Leanne Hughes

Leanne Hughes launched her podcast, First Time Facilitator, in February 2018 while still in her corporate job. Since then, podcasting has provided opportunities beyond her wildest dreams, including being invited to speak at the Clifton Strengths conference in Nebraska, USA and facilitating a workshop for Chanel in Paris.

She combines her experience in Marketing, with her education in Human Resources and Psychology, to help leaders create engaging everyday experiences - that are so contagious they scale across teams, functions and regions.

Leanne has facilitated leadership, onboarding and team-development workshops across Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Mongolia, Singapore and believes in a strengths-centred approach to learning and development.  She has over 13 years’ of experience across a range of industries including mining, government and tourism sectors.

Life is too short for boring workshops and meetings, and her podcast helps people create unpredictable workshop experiences, that predictably work.

After the discussion we’ll move into breakout rooms to share ideas.
