We have two great sessions lined up for this event. Firstly Do More Virtual Speaking: Collaborating with Meeting Planners, Event Organisers, and Bureaus with Jill Schiefelbein, followed by a session with Peter Sheahan - Growing in Uncertain Times: Turning challenge into opportunity and disruption into competitive advantage. Both will be live from the US.

Session 1: Do More Virtual Speaking: Collaborating with Meeting Planners, Event Organisers, and Bureaus

In the past year the quality, engagement, and expertise that is demanded of virtual speakers has risen substantially. Prior, many found presenting a slide deck or having a talking head an acceptable form of virtual speaking. Those days are long gone. Event organisers, meeting planners, and bureaus are more savvy in what they look for in a virtual presenter. Do you measure up? Join this session to learn how to best collaborate with those who hire and can get you hired as a virtual speaker. You'll be able to answer: 

  • How you can reposition your content and expertise to better serve a virtual audience.
  • What you need to know, technically, to make sure your virtual speaking contracts serve both you and the client.
  • How to collaborate with bureaus to increase your visibility as a virtual speaker.
  • What you can do, as a virtual speaker, to add to the success of an event and make your meeting planner or event organiser shine.

Jill Schiefelbein is an award-winning entrepreneur, author, and recovering academic. She taught business communication and developed online programming at Arizona State University for 11 years before venturing into entrepreneurship. Jill’s business, The Dynamic Communicator®, helps organisations navigate the digital communication space to attract customers, increase sales, and retain clients. Pertinent to virtual presentations, she gave her first live virtual talk in 2008 - well ahead of its time. Her latest book, Dynamic Communication: 27 Strategies to Grow, Lead, and Manage Your Business hit stores March 2017. Jill was a co-chair of NSA Influence18.
