Monica Rosenfeld: From Profile to Profit – How to become the go-to expert for your industry in the media

The media is thirsty for content, more now than ever.  Monica Rosenfeld will show you how to take advantage of this and increase the credibility and perception of your personal brand by achieving consistent media exposure.

This is a very practical workshop, clearly explaining what the media are looking for when putting together content.  Monica will share her trade secrets so that participants leave the workshop armed with the tools and confidence to consistently magnify their message in the media.

Monica has been working in media for over 20 years, initially working at Channel Nine’s ‘A Current Affair’ with Tara Brown and Ben Fordham, before starting her own highly successful PR agency WordStorm PR in 2000.  Monica has worked with hundreds of clients over the years, helping them with their biggest problem, how to stand out from their competitors?

In this workshop you will:

  • Gain a good understanding of the current media landscape and what journalists are looking for in a story.
  • Learn the ‘Magic Seven’ angles that make your content instantly newsworthy
  • Discover how to write a press release that captures a journalist’s attention
  • How to ensure journalists keep inviting you back for more interviews/exposure
  • A demonstration of how to combine media exposure with digital marketing to grow your business at an exponential speed

About Monica

Monica has been running WordStorm PR since 2000. Prior to this she worked as a producer for Channel Nine’s ‘A Current Affair’ hosted by Mike Munro. Monica saw an opportunity to create a PR agency that really understands the media, what journalists’ days are like and how you need to communicate with them in order to get cut-through. Monica has worked with hundreds of businesses over the past two decades, increasing their credibility, trust and bottom line by putting their brand in the media spotlight. Monica is passionate about educating businesses how to use the media’s thirst for content to their advantage and de-mystifying the methods media use to create content. Monica voluntarily partners with global mentoring companies to mentor entrepreneurs on the topic of personal branding.

Daniel Murray: Presenting Models

One wonderful way to present clear and powerful messages is to use models.  However, it is also one of the easiest ways to lose an audience is a mess of boxes, diagrams and buzz words.  How can we more effectively use our models to connect our IP and ideas with our audience while keeping up engagement?  In this session Daniel Murray will use his background in Management Consulting and strategy, along with experience as a professional speaker to unpack the ways models can enhance our presentations.

In this presentation we will cover:

  • How to build a great presentation model
  • Weaving seamlessly into talks
  • Delivering for engagement
