Come and join Gihan Perera and John Stanley as they explore the world of international keynote speaking and the importance of positioning yourself to the market.
Speaker 1, Gihan Perera
Title: The Importance Of Positioning In The Marketplace
If you need heart surgery, you don’t say, “Get me the cheapest heart surgeon!” You choose other experts on the way they are positioned in the marketplace, and it’s the same way that clients choose you. The better you are positioned in their eyes, the easier it is for them to buy you – and the less you have to do to market and sell yourself.
In this session, I'll share:
- How the Australian market chooses speakers for conference speaking slots
- What you can do to create the positioning that works best for YOU
- The biggest positioning mistake I made in my speaking business - and how to avoid it

REMINDER: Christmas Theme – Giving A Gift Theme:
Can everyone coming to the WA Chapter meeting in December bring a personal favourite Professional Development Book as a gift. We will then give each person a randomly chosen book as a gift. Please write on the inside cover why you have chosen this book, what it has meant to you and maybe the key lesson. Then wrap the book in some unique wrapping paper, just so you know not to take your own book.
