Session 1 – Accelerating Success through Leverage and Strategic Partnerships (Todd Hutchison CSP)

Many people talk about working smarter than harder, but what does it really mean, and how do you do it?  Can you get away with not working hard?

In this session, Todd explores the pathways to accelerate your success by building on what you have, and growing through an incremental strategy that builds your credibility, product offering and income over time.

Todd will be sharing the strategies behind how you can build upon where you are currently today, whether you are starting your speaking career, or about to reinvent yourself. This is a how-to presentation that helps you plan your pathway to accelerated success.

Todd will explain how in the last year alone he has built international strategic partnerships that have led to the training and certifying lawyers in 22 countries. Through this story, you will learn about positioning, leverage and building credibility fast. It will emphasise the need to have a clear strategy for growing your profile and business, and

In this session you will learn:

  • What credibility means and how to build on what you have to better position yourself;
  • How to leverage yourself in incremental steps, from starting with an article to transforming it into a book;
  • How you can take a training course to a qualification, certification and membership model, creating layered income; and
  • How to build lasting and powerful strategic partnerships through a strong value proposition.

During this session, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge to your own circumstance, and begin establishing a strategy for accelerating your speaking career and business.

Session 2 – The Secrets and Pitfalls of Going Solo  (Margo Halbert CSP)

Setting up a speaking business can be daunting. Yet it also brings great autonomy and independence to pursue the work you love. Come and learn the secrets and pitfalls in setting yourself up for success before you leap into running your own business, or you plan to expand it.

Knowing what you need, how to succeed, and balancing the knowledge of running a business over the craft of speaking requires a strategy. In this session, Margo explores what it takes to build a successful team and how to position yourself and brand.

In this session you will learn:

  • How to position yourself and your brand to run a speaking business;
  • How to find and build a support team;
  • What to be aware of that can impact your success; and
  • What you need to flourish to have a great speaker business.

During this session, you will be able to consider what support structure and team members you need to build or grow your business.

About Todd Hutchison CSP


Todd Hutchison CSP, known as the Corporate Mechanic, is an international bestselling author, adjunct Associate Professor and specialising in helping teams and organisations deliver their strategy (project management).

He leads the global group, Peopleistic, with its Business Education Institute and Film My Video businesses.

Todd is featured in the Who’s Who if Business in Australia, was recognised as a pre-eminent business leader by WA Business News, and holds a world champion in Music (grade 2).

He has worked in over 150 organisations across 13 countries, and his clients include global entities like Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Sime Darby, Genting, Schenk Process, Deloitte, JP Kenny, Yara, Tecnicas Reunidas and Honeywell.

He is an adjunct Associate Professor with academic positions at CQUniversity, Edith Cowan University and Curtin University, in the fields of engineering, project management. And medical and health sciences.  

Todd has tertiary qualifications in business, engineering, project management, contract management, music, education and professional coaching, including an MBA and Master of Commerce (Information Systems). He is now studying a Bachelor of Laws, and a PhD in Behavioural Sciences.

Todd is married to Gina and has an 8-year old daughter Lara.
