Our Feature Speaker: Dr Rich Allen

Rich is an international key note presenter who regularly speaks to audiences of 5,000-7,000 people. He receives standing ovations and rave reviews for his entertaining, energetic, thought provoking presentations.

A charismatic storyteller, former actor and emotionally intelligent facilitator, he travels the world helping presenters, trainers and teachers to engage audiences by harnessing neuroscience and psychology.

Keynote Session 1: Hold Your Audience in the Palm of Your Hand

Rich reveals the scientific secrets of engaging of delivering highly engaging presentations. Learn new techniques to capture and hold your audience's attention right to the end.

Rich offers layers to each idea, so beginning presenters can gain essential skills, while experienced presenters leave inspired, energised and with a host of new insights.

Workshop Session 2: Make Your Presentation a Conversation

It's the time every speaker dreads. Your MC asks: "are there any questions?" And there's deadly silence. In this interactive workshop, Rich explain why this is such a common phenomenon and demonstrates a host of techniques to keep your audience engaged with your content and buzzing with questions at the end. Expect to be physically engaged, mentally challenged and thoroughly entertained.

MC Dale Rees-Bevan

Our MC for the evening is Dale Rees-Bevan, who is well known to many in our tribe from her fantastic speech memorisation and metaphors creation session in February.

Dale has been in the speaker training business for 20 years and has worked with organisations in South Africa, UK and Australia.


Business Session - Tips for Getting Your Next Gig (or Twenty)

Hosted by Anna Perdriau, we'll have an interactive session where we can trade tips and ideas that have helped us get gigs. Whether you're starting out or a seasoned campaigner, extra insight is a wonderful thing!

Storytelling Session

Hosted by Canberra-based member, James Young, you can test drive your storytelling skills in front of your peers with a 5-minute slot. No advance bookings are required, but you will need to arrive by 4pm to get your name on the list for a 4.15pm start.
