Part Two: 12 +1 P’s of Effective Marketing with Graham Harvey“The most successful businesses don’t necessarily have the best products, services or prices; they do however have the best marketing strategies.” - Graham Harvey
Effective marketing has little to do with placing an ad in the local newspaper or industry magazine and then hoping that someone will see it and do business with you. It has everything to do with knowing exactly who your ‘choice-rich, time-poor’ customers are, where they come from, what they want, what price they will pay, and what it takes for them to keep doing business with you, verses the countless options they have available to them in today’s crowded marketplace.
“Marketing is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large.” (American Marketing Association 2007)
Marketing 101 traditionally cites 4 P’s; Product, Place, Price and Promotion. I like to add eight plus one more.
