Humour has a huge impact in engaging your audience and cutting through with your message. At our December meeting, you’ll hear from one of the best in the business when it comes to understanding and wielding the power of humour.

PLUS, we’ll create plenty of humour of our own as we celebrate the end of a big PSA year.

5.00pm Pre-session - Tales from the Trenches

Hosted by Neryl East CSP

As we gallop towards the end of 2018, this session is a great chance to look “under the hood” of your business. We’ll discuss the best apps, tools and systems to make your business hum and free you up to do what you do best. Come along with your own ideas to share: what’s worked well for you this year?

THEN…

6.00pm – The POWER of HUMOUR

Julie Cross CSP

As a speaker, one of the quickest ways to connect with your audience and have them come along on the journey is to make them laugh.

Julie Cross believes the ability to make people laugh is one of the greatest gifts in taking the stage - no matter the message, there is always room for laughter.

When we make our audiences laugh we also connect them emotionally with our message, ensuring the message and feeling stays long after the event, and that makes it valuable.

This session isn’t about laughter for laughter’s sake; Julie focuses on laughter that links your audience to your message and the learnings from those messages.

And it isn’t only about your audience. As speakers, it’s important for us to maintain our sense of humour and emotional well-being.

In this session Julie will:

  • Share how she uses humour in her presentations.
  • Explore with you the benefits to the audience besides just feeling good.
  • Demonstrate how humour has helped her to grow her business.
  • Discuss how she believes speakers who can add humour will be more in demand than ever before.
  • Explore the difference between joke telling and story telling.

So, lets have some fun together!
