We welcome Tim Longhurst (CSP) back to our Chapter, and extend the red carpet to Allan Ryan, who is called on by many of Australia's largest companies and multinationals to facilitate great ideas

Speaker 1: Allan Ryan - Facilitating ideas in ways that will make your clients book you again and again

We tend to think that facilitating great ideas merely requires a whiteboard, lots of coffee and brainstorming. Nothing could be further from the truth. Great facilitators know the subtleties and nuances that take a session from good to great.

Allan Ryan is the "innovator's innovator" - sought out by large companies and multinationals when they need to develop high quality ideas - and he will help you look good in front of your clients!

He will TELL us how good ideas are formed, equip us with TECHNIQUES for creating a buzz in the room and leave us with practical TIPS from decades of experience. Allan is the Founder and Executive Director of the Hargraves Institute, who's members include Coca-Cola Amatil, Nestle, Cochlear and NRMA.

Speaker 2: Tim Longhurst - Climbing Mt Keynote - How to create powerful keynote messages and keep your material fresh

As speakers, we face many challenges, including:

  • How to we craft our keynote speeches?
  • How do we weave powerful messages into them?
  • How do we keep our material fresh and relevant?

We are delighted to have Tim on the main stage - who typically presents at more than 50 corporate events each year. With his friendly and conversational style, he will help us address these challenges.

Tim works with leaders to help them identify and seize opportunities. His client list includes BNP Paribas, IBM, IKEA, Johnson & Johnson and Microsoft.

Your MC: John Lane-Smith

John is a past-president of our NSW Chapter and it's great to have an experienced hand on the wheel!

Members-only Business Session: How to make use of webinar technology

Andrew Dent of Zeetings will give us an overview of new webinar technology and then we will have a facilitated discussion about tips and tricks of using webinars and webcasts to deliver what your clients need. The session kicks off at 5.20pm, with a short speech by Sam Ades before the business session starts in earnest from 5.30pm.

Concurrent guest welcome and introduction session

While our Business Session is running, from 5.20pm our Chapter President, Phil Preston, will meet with non-members / guests and, as a small group, you will get to know each and have a chance to discuss your speaking aims and challenges.
