It has been said that the speaking industry is a hard way to make easy money. Getting the gig can be a challenge — but once you have it, oh the joy of having fun on stage and getting paid for it!

Even for the best speakers, winning repeat business is a hard sell. Professional speakers are commonly told, “You were fantastic. Everyone loved you, but we can’t use you again for three years or so because we just had you this year.”

Under these circumstances many speakers find themselves spending time and money constantly looking for new business.

At our March chapter meeting, Warwick Merry, one of our newest CSPs, will share his experience on how he routinely gets repeat business from clients for three, four and five years in a row.

He will answer important questions, including:

  • What can you do to deliver increased value and earn more money from each client?
  • How can you decrease the amount of running around to get new customers and fully focus on the ones you already have?
  • How can you start the relationship focused on the long term, so the client comes to you first before considering anyone else?
  • How can you add more value to the client while maintaining your niche and not become a generalist?

Warwick will also speak about NSAA accreditation and how to set yourself up for success as you work towards Member, Professional Member and CSP designations.
