Canberra has been chosen as the convention city this year not just because of its great tourist attractions but primarily because many of Australia’s most significant educational, legislative and commercial operations have their headquarters in the territory. Deep within them are to be found experts who, in contrast to we speakers, are experts who don't speak.

We want to integrate into the program people who have profound, valuable and state-of-the-art information but who are not on the speaking circuit (in other words experts who don't speak) so they can provide delegates with information that may not otherwise be available or accessible.

For instance, the Australian Institute of Sport and the Royal Military College are two institutions that spring to mind as being based in Canberra. No doubt, within the former, would be people who know a huge amount about motivation and human performance and, within the latter, a huge amount about people management, strategy and tactics.

It is our intention to incorporate some of this treasure trove of information into the program either by way of direct presentations, “on the couch” interviews or breakout sessions.

Naturally, we will be drawing upon speakers from all over the world, to present their information and ideas to you as speakers in keynotes, workshops and breakouts.

On Friday afternoon and all day Monday, we have scheduled a series of workshops that will provide you with deeper information and understanding of topics which normally cannot be mined during the normal convention length sessions. These in- depth, intensive sessions will deliver great information to assist you in developing and maintaining your presentations at the leading edge, understanding our changing world or building your profitable speaking business.

The conference Opening Ceremony will be held late on the Friday afternoon and will be followed by a welcoming, networking function. A special function for first time delegates will precede the opening to brief first time delegates on how to get the best out of the conference.

If you are a CSP there will be the customary closed door session for you on the Friday afternoon where a whole range of topics and information relevant to senior speakers will be discussed and shared.

Accommodation will be at the ANU Conference Centre where a range of comfortable and economical accommodation options will be available. A booking form will be available shortly.

Alternatively you can choose to book directly with a hotel of your choice in Canberra.
